Attention Small Farm Agricultural Community,
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Extension Program has started making plans for their 23rd Annual Small Farm Conference slated for October 23-24th, 2026.
If you would like to present a session at this year’s conference, we would love to hear from you! We are accepting proposals for workshop or seminar topics under the following themes:
- Alternative/Non-Traditional Agriculture (mushrooms, beekeeping, microgreens, specialty crops, animals, etc.)
- Farm Business Management (labor, enterprise budgeting, financial planning, entrepreneurship, etc.)
- Agriculture Marketing and Sales (direct-to-consumer, online, SWOT analysis, business-to-business, market analysis, etc.)
- Ag Research and Trending Topics (Regulations, Ag Law, Integrated Pest Management, Conservation Ag, AI in Farming, etc.)
- Human Health (food as medicine, food security, farmer self-care, etc.)
- Other/Unknown (If you don’t know which track to choose)
