FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC THREATS TO AGRICULTURE

📅 Date: Monday, July 20, 2026 • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

📍 Location: Virtual Microsoft Teams Meeting

Agriculture is a critical sector that supports food security, economic stability, and public health. However, it faces a wide range of threats from both foreign and domestic sources. Mr. Nathan Smoots, Special Agent Bomb Technician and WMD/C-UAS Coordinator with FBI Norfolk, will discuss how to protect agriculture enterprises showing that it requires a comprehensive approach involving government agencies, farmers, scientists, and international partners. Addressing both foreign and domestic threats is essential to ensure long-term food security and economic resilience. This workshop will examine the nature of these threats, their potential impacts, and strategies for prevention, mitigation, and response.
