Heirloom Mum Field Day

The Heirloom Mum Field Day provides growers with practical, hands-on education in

heirloom chrysanthemum production. Participants will learn best practices for propagation,

integrated pest management (IPM), overwintering, and season extension through expert

presentations and guided tours of Virginia State University’s field plots and high tunnels.

Attendees will also explore VSU’s cut flower demonstration plantings in the field and

greenhouse, gaining valuable insights into a variety of production techniques.

This event will offer coffee in the AM as well as boxed lunches from Thompson Catering.
