National Hemp Industry Needs Workshop November 15, 2022

About the Event
The Global Hemp Innovation Center (GHIC) at Oregon State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture are co-hosting an industry-focused workshop to help craft the national hemp research blueprint.

If you are involved in the hemp industry, your participation is essential. This workshop will be used to identify the science, research, and tools that industry needs to solve challenges and help accelerate the establishment of hemp as a modern United States commodity. The workshop will focus on all aspects of hemp value chains, from production to products manufactured for grain, fiber, and chemical market classes of hemp.

Leading industry and other experts will present their ideas for what is needed to help establish a sustainable, competitive hemp industry. All attendees will be active participants in giving their perspectives. The workshop’s design includes attention to all aspects of hemp science, supply chain components, policy, diversity and inclusion, and laws and regulations.

Prior to the Workshop
Before the workshop, all attendees are invited to review video presentation materials by diverse hemp industry experts.
