The Kentland FarmVirtual Field Day will be held on September 22nd from 7 – 8:30 liveon Zoom. You can participate for free on your computer or by phone. Learn moreabout the 1,700 acre farm, it’s research, and Extension programs all from thecomfort of your home! Kick back in your recliner and watch video tours of thefarm and historic manor house, and mini-talks on a variety of topics. You canchoose either the Livestock or Horticulture track and hear about some of theresearch happening on the farm as well as beneficial tools and technology inagriculture.

Kentland ResearchFarm is a nearly 1,800 acre farm used by people from around the university forresearch, education, and Extension activities. There is so much happening atKentland on a daily basis; everything from conducting tests on row crops to grazinglivestock to advancing the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s).

Dr. Edwin Jones,Director of Virginia Cooperative Extension, will be this year’s keynotespeaker, providing an update on Extension and how it’s been adapting this year.Check out this year topics:

2. Receive emailconfirmation with meeting details, including web link to join with computer (recommended)or number to call-in by phone (audio only, not recommended).

3. About 15 minutesprior to webinar start time, click the link provided in your confirmation emailto prepare for webinar. If this is your first time joining a Zoom webinar, youwill be prompted to download the Zoom Launcher. Upon completion, enter yourname and hit “Join”. You will then be placed in the meeting. You will beprompted to connect to audio.
