AgrAbility Virginia Program Coordinator Position
Housed in the Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education at Virginia Tech, the AgrAbility Virginia Program Coordinator will have the primary responsibility of assisting the AgrAbility Virginia Partnership (Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, and Easterseals UCP North Carolina and Virginia) in all educational, outreach, communication, training, grant reporting, and program evaluation responsibilities related to this statewide Virginia Cooperative Extension program. The coordinator will especially be responsible for conducting and monitoring site assessments on farm; making referrals; recommending assistive technologies and funding sources as farmer services; leading farm safety, health, and wellness trainings and workshops; tracking program outcomes; disseminating AgrAbility outreach materials; and promoting AgrAbility at related conferences, workshops, and community events. The Coordinator will take leadership with program evaluation and outcome reporting by implementing continuous evaluation plans and reports for state and national AgrAbility stakeholders. The Coordinator will also be responsible for the co-development of educational and training materials and peer-reviewed publications. As an anchor program of VT Center for Food Systems and Community Transformation the Coordinator position also includes expectations to participate in related food systems programming, outreach initiatives, and community-based research projects as a Center Associate.
