Some importantinformation for Units:
Registration Open Dates
Registration is open now,and will close at 5:00 PM on Monday, July 6th, 2020.
Individual Registrations
Due to the nature ofi-Congress being in a virtual format, all registrations must take placeindividually. Units are still able to assist 4-H’ers and families withregistration, but we will not be able to process group registrations from Unitoffices. All registration must take place through the link in theattached packet.
Only One RegistrationType/Price
This year there are onlyfull registrations for youth at $5.00 each. There will be nopartial/contest only registration categories. Everyone participating in acompetition must register for Congress using the online registrationsystem. All youth and adultvolunteers who wish to participate in this event must register for iCongressusing the online registration system.
Public Speaking Contest
Anyone who will becompeting must check the contest participation box in the online registrationsystem. Further instructions on uploading entries will be distributed toall participants. All Public Speaking Contest entries will be due on July 10th. Please see Brittany Council or CarterHumphries for more details.
Units Paying forRegistrations
If your Unit is payingthe registration cost for any or all of your delegates, you must tell them tochoose “Pay by Check” in the online registration system. Units must emailJoi Saville at jdyer@vt.edu in order to make payment arrangementsto pay for Unit delegates.
Social Media
The State 4-H Office willbe creating official posts to announce i-Congress on all of the Virginia 4-Hsocial media platforms. Please feel free to share these rather thancreate individual Unit posts so that all of the information presented isconsistent.
